LESSON
2
SOME THINGS GOD DOES FOR
YOU WHEN YOU ARE SAVED!
9. In John chapter 10 the saved
ones are called the sheep, and Jesus is called the
Shepherd. List some things Jesus does for His own,
His sheep.
(In some verses there are 2 statements, so you will
want to look for both of them and write them in
below).
Verse: Statement:
a. 10:3 _______________________________________________________
b. 10:3 _______________________________________________________
c. 10:4 _______________________________________________________
d. 10:4 _______________________________________________________
e. 10:11 ______________________________________________________
f. 10:14 ______________________________________________________
g. 10:15 ______________________________________________________
h. 10:28 ______________________________________________________
i. 10:28 ______________________________________________________
You can be sure that you are saved. You can be
sure that Jesus saved you and that you have eternal
life right now. All the questions above help to
make you sure. You must stand on the promises of
God. God never lies. Believe His Word. Don’t
trust your feelings, but instead trust His Word
alone.
I would ask you to read John 3:1-7 and 1:1-13.
You will see that Jesus said we must be born again.
To be born again means to receive Christ as our
Savior, to put our full trust in Him alone. Jesus
told Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews, that he must
be born again. To be born again means to be born
into God’s family. This ruler of the Jews,
Nicodemus, was one of the spiritual rulers, yet
he needed to be born again. If that was true of
him, it is true of us also.
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh.”
Here Christ was speaking about a physical birth
in John 3:6. Then He said, “Ye must be born
again!” in John 3:7. Consider the following:
10. What are the two kinds of birth that Christ
spoke of in John 3:1-6? Answer: to be born again
of the flesh and the ________________. Here Christ
was saying we must be born again physically and
also spiritually.
Nicodemus could not be born again physically, but
he could be born spiritually into
God’s family.
11. Just as we can’t tell where the wind
comes from or where it goes so we can’t see
the birth of the Spirit, but to be born again is
to be born of the ______________(John 3:8).
