June 9, 1957
Opening rally at Worth School Auditorium

June 16, 1957
First services with 13 in Sunday school and 17 in church.
Most of these were members of the Ashburn Baptist Church.
Pastor was James Zaspel. Among the canvassers was a teenager named BobHeppeler.

August 4, 1957
First Evening Service.

September 8, 1957
Church organized as First Baptist of Worth with 23 charter members.

September 15, 1957
First Baptismal service. Two of the three were Mr. & Mrs. Clyde Garrison.

April 26, 1958
Groundbreaking for new church.

September 11, 1958
Purchased parsonage at 7435 W. 114th Place, Worth.

October 18, 1959
Dedication of original building. Charles Draper and Clyde Garrison were members of the building committee.

August 11, 1965
Changed name to First Baptist Church of Palos Hills.

1968-1969
Annex constructed and paid for on completion.

December, 1972
Additional lot purchased(new parking lot).

June, 1973
Lot south of French Home purchased.

September 7, 1975
Groundbreaking for new church.

March 24, 1976
Prayer meeting held in new auditorium with first Sunday service conducted on March 28, 1976.
