LESSON
9
YOU SHOULD WATCH FOR DANGERS!
YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLES!
We will face all kinds of troubles. It is just a part
of living in this world. Experiencing tests and trials
is a part of daily living. At times we will be tempted
to sin, not to trust the Lord, to act independently of
the Lord and not submit to His leadership and will for
us.
5. What does Jesus want us to have? (John 14:27) _______________
6. “Let not your hearts _____ _________________,
neither let it be ____________.”
(John 14:27)
7. Jesus told us to be of good cheer. We can overcome
because He overcame the ______ _____________. (John 16:33)
Don’t allow troubles to make you turn your back
on the Lord. Don’t think that Christ has left you
alone when something happens to you. Make up your mind
to follow Him every step of the way.
In John 10:4-9, Christ promises to go before us, to guide
us, to keep us, and to lead us in and out that we might
find pasture. This is a picture of His meeting our every
need and supplying whatever we lack as a shepherd would
care for his sheep.
YOU HAVE A REAL ENEMY!
The old devil, satan, is a real person. He is your enemy.
He will try to get you to sin. He will try to get you
to neglect the Bible, prayer and the church. He will do
all he can to get you off track and away from spiritual
things.
The enemy of God is satan and of every person in the
world. He is especially the enemy of the Christian. He
hates those who are saved and will do all he can to defeat
them.
First, satan tries to tell people not to come to Christ
for salvation. Then when people do accept Christ, he will
try to keep them from dedicating their lives so they can
live for Him.
8. According to John 8:44, who is the father of the unsaved?
_______________
9. What was the devil from the beginning? (John 8:44)
_____________________
10. The enemy, satan, abode not in the ____________,
because there is no ____________ in him. (John 8:44)
We cannot trust satan, because he will always whisper
lies to you and will do all he can to bring failure in
your Christian life.
